Darkora makes silent looping GIFs on your iPhone. Clips, stills, drafts, and finished loops stay on this device. Studio entry uses our network service for the gate and session token. There is no account password and no in-app purchase.
Make a loop
- Open the app. Complete the entry gate when prompted (network required; invitation code when asked).
- On Home, start the editor.
- VIDEO TAPE: choose a library video, or record a clip up to 12 seconds. PHOTO STACK: choose library photos, or take stills.
- Set crop, frame timing, dithering, and High Quality if you want a sharper GIF.
- Tap PROCESS GIF. Preview the loop, save it to Photos, or share it.
Camera and microphone
Camera access is asked only when you shoot stills or a clip. Microphone access is asked when you record, so you can hear the take while trimming. You can turn the microphone off and still record. The exported GIF has no sound.
If you denied access, open iOS Settings, find Darkora, and turn Camera or Microphone on.
Photos
Picking a video or photos uses the system picker and does not need photo-read permission. Saving a GIF asks only for permission to add that file to Photos. If saving fails, allow Add Photos for Darkora in iOS Settings.
Drafts, Archive, and Scrapbook
Leave the editor with unsaved edits and you can keep a draft. Finished loops appear in the Archive. Favorites are in Scrapbook, on the Badge tab.
Leave Studio and Shred Badge
Settings is on the Badge tab. Leave Studio returns to the gate and keeps your loops (local sign-out only). Shred Badge deletes the local badge, loops, and drafts on this device and asks our server to destroy the current session. Deleting the app also removes local data.
Privacy and data deletion
We collect an installation identifier and device descriptors (app version, iOS version, model, language, region, time zone) for the entry session. Details, retention (up to 30 days from last refresh), and deletion steps are in the Privacy Policy. For deletion help after you have already removed the app, contact us through this page or reopen the app if still installed and use Shred Badge.
