Terms of Service
These terms cover your use of the Darkora iOS app. Tapping Get Started means you agree to them and to the Privacy Policy linked from the same screen.
The app
Darkora lets you trim a video or stack stills and export a silent looping GIF. Editing, drafts, history, and favorites stay on your device. Entry into the studio uses a network service we operate to validate access (including an invitation code when required) and to issue a session token. There is no account password and no in-app purchase.
Network service
The app communicates with our backend over HTTPS. That service may receive an installation identifier and device descriptors described in the Privacy Policy. Your GIF content is not uploaded as part of ordinary editing. You need a working network connection to complete the entry gate.
Your content
You keep the rights to the clips, photos, and GIFs you create. You are responsible for having the rights to material you import, record, or export. Do not use the app to create or store content that is illegal.
Camera, microphone, and Photos
Camera and microphone access are requested only when you record. A clip can run up to 12 seconds. Microphone audio is for hearing the take while you trim. The exported GIF is silent. Saving to Photos needs permission to add that GIF. Choosing library items uses the system picker and does not require photo-read access.
Entry, Leave Studio, and Shred Badge
Get Started stores a local entry on this device and may create a server session. Leave Studio returns you to the gate and keeps your loops; it clears the local session without wiping the server record. Shred Badge deletes the local badge, loops, and drafts on this device and requests deletion of the current server session. Deleting the app also removes local data.
Acceptable use
Do not misuse the app, attempt to break it, or use it in a way that violates the law or someone else’s rights. Features may change between versions.
Disclaimer
The app is provided as is. Export results depend on the source you provide and on the options you choose, including crop, timing, dithering, and High Quality. We do not promise that a GIF will meet a particular size or look. Entry may depend on network availability and server configuration.
Liability
To the extent the law allows, the publisher is not liable for lost files, lost drafts, or other damages arising from use of the app. You should keep your own copies of GIFs you care about.
Privacy
How local and server data is handled is described in the Privacy Policy.
Changes
Updated terms will be posted at this address with a new effective date. Continuing to use the app after the update means you accept the new terms.
